Hey, I’m so happy to have you here.

Hi, my name is Joanne Thompson and I live in Wesley Chapel, Tampa, FL. I’m a proud mom to two beautiful (and very wild!) boys and an energetic Chocolate Labrador and want you to know that I truly understand how busy life can feel, especially without a village around you.

I’m a professional organizer, but my family would probably describe me as the daughter/wife who never sits down, like the energizer bunny! When I became a mom living abroad without family nearby, we had to get organized and adapt to busy family life quickly… without losing our minds. Fast forward a few years to 2026, and The Sunny Bunny Organizer was born.

Before this chapter, I was an Elementary Teacher for 15 years, teaching all over the world. That’s where my love of organizing stockrooms, craft cupboards, classroom cubbies, and labeling everything in sight began (along with a slight stationery obsession!). I taught during the day and attended night school in Boston at the Boston Architectural College, where I studied Interior Design to fuel my creative side.

But honestly? Whenever I had a spare moment, what I truly loved was rearranging our home to make it more functional for our family, finding clever storage for awkward spaces and “minimal-ish” solutions to make life with ADHD, children, careers, and little support feel calmer and more manageable.

This year I had a real “pinch me” moment , turning 41, I realized life doesn’t slow down, and the perfect time rarely appears. My children are finally at an age where I can think for longer than a couple of minutes before a soccer ball is launched at my head… just! So I decided to go all in and build the business I’ve always dreamed of.

My husband and I have lived in large homes with an acre of land, and we’ve also lived in tiny one-bedroom apartments with a baby and a dog, with my husband sharing his office with the crib! We’ve completed 8 international moves and 15 in-state moves all with children and a dog so I have a lot of hands-on experience decluttering, selling, donating, organizing, packing, unpacking and making new spaces work beautifully, even on the smallest budgets.

I am extremely respectful of personal belongings and privacy. I’m happy to work alongside you in your home or independently, whatever makes you feel most comfortable. And I’ll always bring positive, Sunny Bunny energy into your space.
